Wise, North Carolina

From Wally Atkins Family Wiki

Wise, North Carolina is a rural agricultural community situated in northern Warren County, North Carolina, just three miles south of the Virginia state line.

In A Long Time Ago: A History of the Atkins-Paynter and Allied Families, Joseph Henry Atkins moved his family to Wise around 1909 to manage farming operations on the extensive J.R. Paschall property. This relocation marked a pivotal transitional chapter in the family's history, bridging their long residence in the Mecklenburg County lake country with their later move to Richmond in 1911.
