Biography
Paulina Sue Lawson brings the Lawson and Graves heritage directly into the Wally Atkins family line. In A Long Time Ago: A History of the Atkins-Paynter and Allied Families, she is remembered not only as the wife of Patrick Henry Atkins and the mother of Joseph Henry Atkins, but also through the long-lived nickname "Pliny," a name that stayed alive in family memory. Through Paulina, the later Mecklenburg branch becomes more than an Atkins story alone. It becomes a story of intertwined families whose marriages and kinship ties shaped the line that followed.
